Class
expectations:
You will take responsibility
for your own education. This includes periodically checking your grade, check
the assignment wall, the Homework Hotline and the web site, and make up
any work that you miss due to absences .
In addition, If at any time you are confused or need help, please ask!!! I can be available before school, after school or during lunch, please let me know and I will try and make time for you.
These are the units we will study throughout the year:
- Particles and Partial movement
- Density and Buoyancy
- Chemistry and Chemical Reactions
- Inventions
- Forces and Motion
- Astronomy
- Health Ed
Your Grade will consist of the following:
- Weekly Packets- Assignments that you will do in class and for homework, due every Friday.
- Problem of the Week (POW)- a weekly (or semi-weekly) check to make sure you understand the concepts we are learning in class.
- Lab Notebook- An organized group of write-ups that you will complete for labs we do in class. They will be stamped off in class.
- Tests- At or near the end of a unit we will have a test
Class rules: I only have 1 rule… Do not cause a problem for yourself or others!!!
